Your As Tenant - Your Rights
Regulations and rules that affect tenants are forever changing. We would be happy to answer any questions or concerns that you may have. We welcome all tenant enquiries via internet, email, phone or via a visit to our office.
In Queensland, people who rent homes are covered by the law including :
- the Residential Tenancies Act 1994
- the Residential Services (Accommodation) Act 2002.
The Act sets out the rights and responsibilities of both tenants and agents. It describes what you and the agent can and cannot do and also clearly explains what happens if either the agent or tenant breaks the law.
